COMPENSATION
Experienced Roofing Technicians: $22–$28 per hour
Roofing Crew Leaders: $28–$35 per hour
Established Roofing Crews: Project-based compensation discussed according to experience, crew size, capabilities and working arrangement

SCHEDULE
Primarily daytime weekday hours. Early starts, occasional weekends and storm-response availability may be required.
FULL OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION
MFL Homes is accepting applications from experienced individual roofers, crew leaders and established roofing crews committed to high-quality workmanship, safe working practices and professional customer service.
We are interested in hearing from roofing professionals with experience in Florida residential roofing, particularly asphalt shingle installation and repairs. Experience with tile, metal and low-slope roofing systems is also valuable.
Applicants must take pride in producing clean, durable work while protecting customers’ homes and maintaining organized job sites. Crew leaders should be capable of organizing work, maintaining quality standards and helping less-experienced team members work safely and efficiently.
Individual roofers and complete established crews are welcome to apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Complete residential roofing installations and repairs according to approved specifications
• Remove and replace roofing materials safely and efficiently
• Install underlayment, flashings, shingles and approved roofing components
• Identify damaged decking and other visible roofing defects
• Protect customers’ homes, landscaping and surrounding property
• Maintain clean, organized and safe job sites
• Follow fall-protection and job-site safety requirements
• Inspect tools, equipment and materials before use
• Accurately report materials used, work completed and additional concerns
• Take clear before-and-after photographs
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors and other trades
• Maintain MFL Homes workmanship and presentation standards
• Assist with storm-related inspections and repair work when appropriately assigned
• Complete other roofing duties consistent with experience and authorization
ADDITIONAL CREW-LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organize daily crew activities and job-site setup
• Allocate work according to each team member’s ability
• Monitor workmanship, productivity and safety compliance
• Confirm that property-protection measures are in place
• Communicate progress, material requirements and job-site concerns
• Inspect completed work before the crew leaves the property
• Support the training and development of Roofing Helpers
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Proven residential roofing experience
• Florida asphalt-shingle experience strongly preferred
• Tile, metal, low-slope and repair experience is valuable
• Thorough understanding of safe roofing practices
• Ability to produce neat, consistent and durable work
• Dependable attendance and professional conduct
• Respect for customers, coworkers and private property
• Ability to work productively as part of a team
• Clear communication and practical problem-solving skills
• Crew-lead or supervisory experience for leadership applicants
• Willingness to provide references and examples of previous work
REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL APPLICANTS
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Relevant professional roofing experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Reliable cell phone and consistent communication
• Ability to travel throughout the MFL Homes service area
• Professional references
• Willingness to complete any required employment screening and safety training

• Crew leader’s name and contact information
• Number of regular crew members
• Years of roofing experience
• Roofing systems and services completed

• Photographs or portfolio of previous projects
• Professional and contractor references
• Current business, tax and insurance documentation applicable to the proposed working arrangement
• Details of vehicles, tools and equipment available to the crew
• Confirmation that all crew members are legally authorized to perform the proposed work
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be able to perform the essential duties of roofing work, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
The work may involve:
• Working on sloped and low-slope roofs
• Regularly climbing ladders and working at height
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching
• Safely lifting and carrying roofing tools and materials
• Working outdoors in heat, humidity and changing weather conditions
• Wearing fall-protection equipment and required personal protective equipment
• Working around noise, dust, debris and active construction areas
COMPENSATION AND DEVELOPMENT
• Roofing Technician pay of $22–$28 per hour
• Crew Leader pay of $28–$35 per hour
• Starting rate based on experience, leadership ability and demonstrated workmanship
• 90-day performance and compensation review for individual employees
• Opportunity for additional responsibility as the company grows
• Established-crew compensation discussed individually according to the lawful working arrangement and project requirements
